(KR)1961년에 설립된 형지에스콰이아의 전신인 ㈜에스콰이어의 상호를 브랜드로 사용하였으며, 1966년 국내 최초로 수제화 자동화 공정을 도입했다. 시대를 앞서는 디자인과 철저한 품질관리로 ‘명품구두’를 만들었다. 1970년대 사세를 확장해 1980년대 ‘1등 브랜드’로 자리매김했다. 2015년에는 상호를 (주)형지에스콰이아로 변경하여 지금의 에스콰이아는 가방 등 잡화 브랜드로 사용되고 있다.
